Clan Round-Robin Tournament, It's like the NRL, but with guns!

Here's what I propose: eight or so clans get together and over the following eight weeks verse each other in tournament style clan battles. The four clans with the most wins/best result will verse each other in semi-finals, followed by a grand final. Winner of that game......well, I won't say that clan is the best in Australia, but they're pretty good.

Yes, this tourney will be hard to organise and maintain, but if just the clan leaders worry about the organisation and we don't over complicate things then I think it can be done. Matches will be played on the weekend to give clans a good amount of time during the week to prepare their teams. It wil be best of 5 with teams of 6, playing across the 5 game types, TDM, HQ, DOM, SAB and S&D.

I could easily have the matches drawn up in less then five minutes. All that is needed now are clans and clanmen to fill in the blanks. Interested in joining the tournament? Bring it up with your clan leader and post here. We would be aiming at around 8 clans, as I don't think we could get more then that together.

As I said, it will be difficult to organise so I would appreciate it if people try to look at this positively and don't add any 'this is impossible' posts. Alright, that's it from me. oHpe to hear some responses.


Should be a good mix of clans there with any luck....there'll even be a "Loveable Rogues" clan full of random mercenaries.

lol EAB are probably the only confirmed clan at the moment.

I have to agree with DJ this game is really starting to give me the shits, all I want is to be able to play GW or TDM ranked matches with a bunch of you guys with full green ping. Instead I spent most of the weekend on my own playing in red ping rooms. Then when you finally get in a good room more times than not the host ends game. The only game type that seems to offer full green ping is Team Tactical and I am not a hugh fan of 3V3.

When you do get a full ping aussie room you are reminded how good this game can be.

A Clan comp would be awesome just hope it works out.

Soon I'll be creating a new thread on the PS3 online forums where clans can officially sign up for the tournament. This will be done by the clan leader or a representative of the clan leader only to simplify matters.

I hope cXc are interested. Every competition needs it's South Sydney/Richmond! Kidding of course. It would be great to have a cXc team involved.

We free agent loveable rogues are playing AUF first up, will try to extract some revenge from the last time you guys played them!!

thanks Peach... I don't know the clan we are up against but MiteyLFC has played them and said they are very good, so it will be a tough match by the sounds of it.

I reckon you Free agents are the ones to watch, you have some good players in there. Sexius is quite good and not shy to tell us all lol DH is quite good, your ok I guess lol I don't really know the other guys too well

Yeah, i'm hoping we go ok. Secksius is very good, DH is great, i'm ok ON A GOOD DAY lol. Da_az, dingo and trav are all really good. It all depends on availabilities for us- our strongest team i reckon wil put pressure on EAB and ES- but me, DH, trav and dingo all work funny hours that might make it hard.

I agree with you, but DH is terrible at this.

You sure your personal rivalry isn't influencing your opinion of DH? I reckon he's a great player.

whenever ive played with you, it seems to me your always on the other team and before you join, im usually on the winning side, but then the peach comes on the other team and rips me up and i end up on the losing side

Hey guys, just incase some of u dont check the tourny website i thought id leave a post in here. Im leading the AUF team in the clan tournament and it seems we r up against u blokes this sunday night.

If ur leader would like to add me, my psn is vahshi so we can get the ball rolling.

Do any 1 of u guys want to be the host? If not I can do it, adsl2+ but ive hosted heaps of games and never had any problems in the past. We'll have 6v6, no subs/spectators watching just so the game flows more smoothly and hopefully no connection problems!

Anyway, add me and just write cXc in the msg part so I know who u r and we'll organise our teams on sunday night.. If u guys host add me and ill add my team into the party or if I host ill add one of u and u can add the rest of ur team into the party..

Hopefully it all goes down well come sunday night and hopefully we all have fun! Try to keep swearing in the lobby to a minimum lol as frustrating as some games can be, its all about fun!

no worries mate, once we have our team worked out we will make sure everyone knows whats what

i vote that maybe only the team leaders use comms in the lobby, everyone can turn their comms on in-game? just an idea, might help with the confusion in the lobby..
