I couldn't think of any other witty Home related pun right now, so sue me.

Anyway, it's confirmed that Home is officially launching on December 11th...whoop whoop? Well, not really, it's just an open beta. So yes, it's kinda finally come around, yet at the same time it hasn't.

Either way, I'll check it out and hope that it provides some sort of nice community gathering. Besides, that, I probably won't pay too much attention to Home.

ok so whats the home beta i've been checking out the last week or so, is this open beta much different? educate me Dr kei!!!!!!!!

Here's the diagnosis, my dear patient scrface!

The beta you were in was a closed beta; an earlier taste of Home before more of the public would get the beta. I don't know if any more features have or will be added with this open beta. So basically, it's not clear if it's a different build then what you currently have, or not. I'd say it should be though.

any idea how large the download is guys? I am nearly shaped for the month

I think the closed better was about 50 meg to get started and then between 50-100 meg on each location you go to. It will also download video trailers and stuff when you go to certain areas.

i downloaded the open beta, but it wont get passed the initialising part, get a read error

Rawr, Dane. My sources indicated late last night to early morning today for the release, which they were partly right about.

Anyway, I'm downloading the beta right now, hopefully I'll at least be able to get to the character customisation. It'd be nice if I could get it as close as possible to me.

i built my charcter

then it suggested i go to the home square, so i started downloading it and it froze then i got disconnected then i had to reboot

It will be interesting to see if the open beta has much different content to the closed beta. I am an anti social prick so I doubt I will use this much, still looking forward to kicking Harldos ass at Chess or Checkers

by the way there are items you win by playing the arcade games and getting up to high levels
also theres another trick for having arcade games in your own home (after completing certain challenges in arcade games) msg me for details (if you dont find it online)

i got 4 arcade machines in my home and a 4in1 arcade machine
